Analyst company Elliptic has announced the appointment of Mark Aruliah as Senior Policy Adviser in the UK.
According to the company, he will join the crypto analytics and compliance division.
Prior to this, he has worked for the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for more than 20 years, specializing in capital markets policy.
As part of the FCA’s Financial Crimes Advisory Group, he was responsible for amending the regulation of cryptocurrencies and anti-money laundering rules. Later, he moved to the subordinate department for authorization and supervision.
Mark Aruliah has also worked with HM Treasury and the Bank of England crypto sandbox.
Elliptic hhas noted that Aruliah’s experience will strengthen the firm’s growing regulatory and compliance capabilities for crypto industry oversight in Europe.
