The Huangpu Customs Service in Guangdong Province, China, has just announced it has seized 49 used crypto miners.
As reported by local media, they have been identified while they were being transported across the border, indicating false information on the export documents.
The discrepancy was identified during the inspection of goods declared as “footwear materials”. Upon close inspection, Customs officials discovered 49 ASIC miners, some of which had traces of rust.
The devices must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
