Worldwide known cloud computing platform Amazon Web Services (AWS) has just suspended the registration of new users from Russia and Belarus, the NYT reports.
A platform spokesman Drew Herdener has said:
“Given current events, uncertainty, and lack of credit in Russia, we are not accepting new Russian AWS customers.”
According to the publication, the changes came into force on March 5-6, but Amazon has only announced this now.
We should take into account that AWS does not have offices or data centers in Russia.
British processing service Wirex has previously reported it has blocked access to its products to Russian users.
