MetaMask, a crypto wallet own by ConsenSys, has just reported on Twitter that it has made some updates for iPhone and Apple Pay users.
According to the announcement, now users can buy cryptocurrencies using a debits or credit cards through the mobile app, eliminating this way the need to transfer Ether from a centralized exchange.
At the moment, the popular wallet uses two payment gateways, Wyre and Transak, to support debit card and credit card transactions.
Now, with the integration, the users of the popular wallet can use their cards stored in Apple Pay to buy ETH thanks to the Wyre API. According to the company, gas fees are lower and some transactions may even be free if they are done on a private blockchain or if the project makes the payment for the corresponding gas.
