The update of MimbleWimble on the Litecoin (LTC) network, which allows users to ensure the confidentiality of transactions, has not been welcomed by everyone.
In particular, the anonymity of blockchain users has raised concerns among South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges, including Bithumb. As part of compliance with local AML legislation, trading platforms may delist Litecoin.
In addition, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange UpBit has stated it will not accept anonymous Litecoin transactions through MimbleWimble meaning that the asset may be removed from the trading platform.
