According to The Economist, 37% of participants in a survey it has conduced among citizens of developed and developing countries have supported the approval of digital assets as means of payment.
On the other side of the coin we have the 43% of respondents who were neutral and the 18% who were against it.
The poll has been conduced among 3,000 people from the US, UK, France, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, South Africa and the Philippines.
The results have shown that 37% of respondents were in favor of the CBDC issue, whereas 19% were against.
Respondents were more enthusiastic about NFTs. Notably, 60% reported interest in transactions with similar tokens, and only 7% about its absence. As far as DeFi is concerned, analysts received 34% positive and 17% negative responses.
