A representative of crypto lending company Celsius has denied the firm’s CEO Alex Mashinsky is trying to fly out of the United States amid an ongoing liquidity crisis.
The company has written:
“All Celsius employees, including the CEO, are focused and hard at work to stabilize liquidity and operations. Therefore, any reports that the Celsius CEO tried to leave the US are false.”
Investor Mike Alfred reported on June 27 that Mashinsky “had tried to leave the country through the Morristown (New Jersey) airport, but was stopped by the authorities.”
He added:
“At the moment it is unclear whether he was arrested or simply banned from leaving.”
According to him, the Celsius CEO tried to fly to Israel. A user has confirmed he has also heard this information from his own source.
