Crypto exchange Binance has been licensed as a digital asset market service provider in Spain.
In particular, the exchange’s Spanish subsidiary, Moon Tech Spain, S.L., has been granted registration as a Virtual Asset Services Provider(VASP) by the Bank of Spain.
The company can now offer services throughout Spain in full compliance with AML and CTF regulations. The regulator will also monitor compliance with commercial and professional reputation standards.
Spain has now become the third country in the EU after France and Italy to grant Binance a local license.
The exchange CEO Changpeng Zhao announced in September 2021 the rejection of the “decentralized” business model.
