According to a poll conducted by brokerage Charles Schwab, 46% of zoomers and 45% of millennials are in favor of including cryptocurrencies in their 401(k) retirement plans.
At the same time, representatives of these generations have already invested in digital assets outside of 401(k). Among zoomers and millennials, 43% and 47% of respondents, respectively, own cryptocurrencies.
Charles Schwab has noted investors in these ages generally consider a wider range of assets for their retirement savings than older generations.
Millennials traditionally refer to people born from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s, and zoomers from the late 1990s to the early 2010s.
The firm surveyed 1,000 401(k) plan participants aged 20-70 who work in companies with at least 25 employees.
