FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried invested between $50 and $100 million in Twitter before Elon Musk took over Twitter.
The share of Bankman-Fried was estimated at 0.1%–0.2%.
On October 28, the founder of Tesla closed the deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion. On that day, exchanges suspended trading in the platform’s shares. On November 8, they will be delisted.
In late September, it became known that Bankman-Fried was “potentially interested” in financing Musk’s deal and allegedly was going to provide $5 billion.
Will MacAskill, an adviser to the head of FTX, tried to arrange a meeting with the billionaire, but the latter doubted the ability of Bankman-Fried to provide this amount. According to Axios, the head of the exchange withdrew the initiative after a phone call with Musk.
