Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dash Jr. has said that his PGP has been compromised as part of a hacker attack and that a large amount of BTC was lost as a result.
Despite he has not said how much money he has lost, he has shared a wallet address allegedly linked to the hack that currently contains 216.9 BTC.
Four transactions were completed on December 31. According to the developer, he “has no idea” how attackers got access to his key.
He has Dash Jr. explained that he only noticed the hack after receiving emails from Coinbase and Kraken about login attempts.
Changpeng Zhao has stated he has informed the security service of the exchange so that they monitor the incident.
