Voyager Digital, a bankrupt cryptocurrency broker, has just received initial court approval to sell its assets to Binance.US, the US division of the cryptocurrency exchange.
According to court documents, the company can vote on the deal among creditors. Its actual finalization is impossible before hearings, which are scheduled for next March 2.
In the event of a settlement, Voyager Digital customers will be able to recover up to 51% of their funds. Users will be transferred to Binance’s platform, where they will be able to withdraw their funds.
Recall that the crypto broker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 5, 2022 with total liabilities ranging from $1 billion to $10 billion.
It is worth noting that Voyager Digital is one of the hedge fund Three Arrows Capital’s lenders.
