Cryptocurrency exchange Bitzlato has said on its Telegram channel that it has suffered a hacker attack and has shut down the service.
In the initial publication, the team stated the hackers had withdrawn some of the funds and asked users not to replenish deposits. The platform has suspended the withdrawal of assets.
A few hours later, the developers confirmed the hack and assured the users’ assets were safe.
According to the publication:
“The attackers were able to withdraw a small part of the funds, but we guarantee a refund for all victims.”
The team has disabled the service for security reasons and has not disclosed the amount hackers have stolen.
