Yuga Labs, the company behind NFT collection Bored Ape Yacth Club, will replace the logo of its Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) collection of NFTs following accusations of copying the Easy Drawing Guides image.
Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano has said:
“We will replace the logo, update it on our website and ask marketplaces to replace it. This collection was intended to raise funds for charity from the very beginning, and I am proud that BAKC has raised over $1 million for animals.”
According to him, a freelancer worked on the creation of the BAKC logo. The studio approached him and Easy Drawing Guides to address the issue of intellectual property infringement. The investigation into the incident continues.
