The Indian authorities appealed to the G20 countries at the end of last year with a call to intensify interaction in the field of regulation of the cryptocurrency market.
Reuters has now reported that the finance ministers and central bankers of the G20 will hold talks from 23 to 25 February in Bangalore. According to reports, particular attention will be paid to solving problems related to the protection of investors and ensuring the transparency of transactions with digital currencies.
The head of the Ministry of Finance of India, Nirmala Sitharaman, has not ruled out the development of common standards, which will be guided by states that legalize the crypto sphere.
According to her:
“We are discussing with everyone whether we can develop some standards that countries that create a legal framework will be guided by and that it will be effective.”
