An Employee of Investment Scheme CoinDeal is Accused of $45M Fraud

Bryan Lee, a 57-year-old from Las Vegas, has been accused of being part of the CoinDeal investment fraud scheme, which according to the US Department of Justice has caused damages exceeding $45 million.

The scheme was allegedly run by Neil Chandran, who controlled a number of companies under the ViRSE brand, such as Free Vi Lab, Studio Vi Inc., ViDelivery Inc., ViMarket Inc. and Scalex USA Inc.

Lee was supposedly appointed as the nominal owner of ViMarket, and was instructed by Chandran to transfer funds from investors to the organizers’ private accounts.

From over 10,000 victims, the scammers spent millions of dollars on cars and real estate.

Lee has been charged with conspiracy, mail and electronic fraud, and money laundering, and faces up to 30 years in prison.
