In April, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire strongly criticized US policy towards the digital currency market, arguing that it was driving businesses out of American jurisdiction and would lead to the country falling behind in terms of technology.
He recently reinforced his position in an interview with Fortune, where he called for Washington to reconsider their stance and become more accommodating to the crypto-industry.
Allaire insisted that the US needs to legalize the sector as soon as possible to maintain its status as a tech leader in a competitive global market.
He predicts that within the next 10 years, the global financial system will be completely transformed, with blockchain, AI and smart contracts playing a major role.
