PUBG Game Developer to Launch its Own Blockchain on Cosmos

Krafton, a South Korean developer and distributor of online video games, including the popular PUBG, plans to launch the Settlus network based on Cosmos, DEX Osmosis co-founder Josh Lee has announced.

According to the project’s website:

“Settlus is a purpose-built blockchain designed to provide transparent settlement system for the creator economy.”

According to the developers, the solution is designed to combine Web2 with Web3. They believe that such integration will lead to significant innovation in the existing Internet industry.

The testnet protocol is scheduled for launch in early 2024.

Among the features of the future network are modular architecture, on-demand payments via transaction registration, bridgeless support for non-fungible tokens and using NFTs to earn royalties.

The company has said the Migaloo metaverse is the first potential project on the new blockchain.
