The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has this week signed a bill on licensing miners to regulate the activities of companies providing services for storing and exchanging digital currencies.
Additionally, a legal entity that has been approved to mine and circulate cryptocurrency must pay a state fee, the size of which is yet to be determined by the National Agency for Advanced Projects (NAPP).
This initiative is intended to introduce an effective taxation system for the industry.
Unfortunately, however, the government’s plan to launch a national mining pool has been postponed indefinitely.
