According to an SEC filing, between August 1 and September 24, MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, bought 5,445 Bitcoins for $147.3 million, at an average cost of $27,053 per Bitcoin.
This new purchase brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to approximately 158,245, valued at around $4.1 billion at the current price of $26,000.
In total, the company has spent $4.68 billion on its Bitcoin purchases, with an average price of $29,582 per Bitcoin.
This purchase follows the company’s previous acquisition of 12,800 Bitcoins for $361 million in June and August.
