Bitmain, a leader in mining hardware manufacturing, has announced plans to release Antminer rigs specifically designed for the privacy-focused Aleo blockchain, which operates on zero-knowledge proofs.

The company aims to contribute to the growth and success of the Aleo network ecosystem, with the exact release date of the miners yet to be revealed.

The Aleo blockchain is currently in testnet mode and in February 2022, it raised $200 million in a Series B funding round.

Bitmain stated that it remains committed to its goal of creating a better digital world for humanity and will continue to work with customers in a mutually beneficial and loyal manner to promote a more prosperous and transparent Proof-of-Work (PoW) space.

In September, Bitmain released its latest Bitcoin miner Antminer S21, which boasts the most energy-efficient performance on the market at 17.5 J/TH.

Shortly after, Australian company Iris Energy purchased 7,000 units of the Antminer S21 for $19.6 million, with an annual deferred payment of $2.9 million.
