According to Elon Musk himself, none of his companies will ever create their own cryptocurrency token.
This statement was made in response to a warning from an individual using the pseudonym DogeDesigner, who pointed out that the XAI token is not affiliated with Musk or his AI startup, xAI.
Additionally, Musk reiterated this stance on his companies’ involvement in cryptocurrency, in light of previous reports about his alleged plans to create an AI startup to compete with OpenAI.
Although Musk did launch xAI in July, their website clarifies that they are not linked to X Corp. Musk has also stated that his social network, X, will not release its own native tokens.
In August, biotech company Neuralink, founded by Musk, raised $280 million in a Series D funding round.
