Mt. Gox seems to have initiated repayments to some creditors following the announcement by the defunct crypto exchange’s trustee last month, confirming cash repayments.
In a Reddit thread, several apparent creditors shared that they received their Mt. Gox payments through PayPal.
Users, including Free-End2543 and rpostwvu, posted messages and screenshots confirming successful payments, with one individual from the “MtGoxCreditors” Telegram group verifying a Japanese yen-denominated payment dated December 25 from the Mt. Gox trustee through PayPal.
