MicroStrategy has disclosed the acquisition of an additional 14,620 BTC for around $615.7 million, with transactions occurring between November 30 and December 26 at an average rate of $42,110.
Founder Michael Saylor revealed that the company now possesses a total of 189,150 BTC, acquired for $5.9 billion, equating to a per-coin cost of $31,168.
According to BitcoinTreasuries, the firm’s potential cryptocurrency earnings currently surpass $2.2 billion, constituting 86% of its market capitalization.
MicroStrategy’s recent Bitcoin acquisitions follow previous purchases, including 155 BTC in October for $5.3 million, 16,130 BTC in late November for $593.3 million, and a total of 6,067 BTC throughout the third quarter of 2023.
