The creators of hardware wallet Trezor have reported a security breach involving a third-party support provider, affecting approximately 66,000 customers.
Any users who have interacted with the service since December 2021 may have been affected. The hackers were able to access the names/pseudonyms and email addresses of those who reached out to the service.
The Trezor team has reached out to all affected users via email to warn them about possible phishing attempts.
According to their statement, there has been no significant activity from the hackers since the attack on January 17, 2021.
However, at least 41 users have reported receiving requests for sensitive information, such as their wallet’s seed phrase, from the attackers.
