Leading worldwide payment provider Visa is furthering its integration of cryptocurrency by offering another avenue for exchanging crypto to fiat currencies without the use of a centralized exchange.
In collaboration with Web3 infrastructure provider Transak, Visa has launched a new feature through its Visa Direct solution, announced on January 30.
This feature allows users to withdraw popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin directly from their digital wallets, like MetaMask, to a Visa debit card.
With immediate availability, this integration allows for easy crypto to fiat exchanges and payments at over 130 million merchants worldwide that accept Visa.
According to Yanilsa Gonzalez-Ore, the North America Head of Visa Direct, this new option provided by Transak offers users a faster, more connected experience when converting their crypto balances to fiat currency.
