According to media sources, Zimbabwe is currently seeking feedback from the public in order to establish policies for the crypto industry.
The government has formed a committee to consult with digital asset operators and is requesting comments by June 26. Many countries around the world are working towards understanding and regulating the emerging crypto sector.
South Africa has recently begun registering companies, while Nigeria has been developing strategies for approaching crypto in recent years.
The government, as reported in the state-run Herald newspaper on Wednesday, states that Zimbabwe is following global trends and best practices by conducting an evaluation of the cryptocurrency landscape.
All cryptocurrency service providers, whether operating within or outside of Zimbabwe but offering their services to Zimbabwean citizens, are invited to submit their comments.
