Coinbase has announced the release of a new version of its crypto wallet, enabling users to access their portfolios from various platforms in a single location.

Through a website accessible on both desktop and mobile devices, users will have the ability to integrate any supported self-custodial wallet, such as MetaMask and Phantom, for a comprehensive view of their assets across different applications.

It is not necessary for users to have a Coinbase wallet in order to utilize the service. Coinbase’s decision to launch this new wallet update is in response to the increasing demand from retail users to track their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralized finance (DeFi) positions across multiple wallets.

The company acknowledges that managing various crypto wallets can be challenging and believes this new solution will make it easier for individuals to stay on top of their assets.

However, Coinbase is not the only company to offer this service, as Zerion Wallet also allows users to connect multiple wallets and monitor their crypto portfolios, including NFTs and DeFi positions, on a variety of blockchains such as Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and Polygon.
