According to a Bloomberg report on August 8, Tether, the world’s largest issuer of stablecoins, is planning to double its workforce by mid-2025, with a specific focus on expanding its compliance team.
The CEO of Tether Holdings Ltd., Paolo Ardoino, stated in an interview that the company aims to increase its staff to around 200 people.
He also mentioned that Tether prides itself on being a streamlined organization and will remain so, but will carefully hire senior staff to maintain flexibility.
Ardoino noted that due to the need for increased monitoring for illegal activities involving its stablecoin on secondary markets, Tether requires more automated tools.
