The Open Network, which had previously experienced an outage and is now back online, encountered another disruption.
This time, the blockchain was once again overwhelmed by high volumes of transactions from the DOGS memecoin.
According to the TON team, the block production issues began at 19:19 UTC and were caused by the heavy load of minting DOGS tokens.
In response to this, TON developers requested mainnet validators to update and restart their nodes, resulting in the issue being resolved by 1:30 a.m. UTC, as announced on the TON Community Telegram channel.
This was the second outage for the TON blockchain this week, as on Tuesday, the network was down for over six hours due to the abnormal amount of transactions from the DOGS memecoin, which had recently held an airdrop event.
