Renowned US-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, led by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, has officially launched its platform in France. This launch allows French users to deposit, trade, and store over 70 digital assets on both web and mobile devices.

Gemini’s entry into the French market comes after they received registration as a digital asset service provider (DASP) from French regulators in January. Gemini’s launch in France is timely as it precedes the implementation of the European Union’s landmark crypto framework, MiCA, which will take effect in the coming weeks.

This move will allow local users to take advantage of Gemini’s offerings through various payment options, including debit cards, bank transfers, and Apple Pay. In addition, institutional investors can also utilize Gemini’s over-the-counter desk for trading.

According to Gemini’s UK and Europe CEO, Gillian Lynch, the exchange has taken the necessary steps to cater to the needs of French customers by localizing their platform and offering a full suite of services. With Gemini’s DASP approval and launch, users in France now have access to a reputable and trustworthy platform for their digital asset needs.
