BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF Loses $1.5B in Four Days

On Christmas Eve, BlackRock’s Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) saw its highest single-day outflow ever, as Bitcoin funds recorded four consecutive days of outflows totaling over $1.5 billion.

According to CoinGlass data, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) had outflows of $188.7 million, surpassing its previous record of $72.7 million on Dec. 20. All 12 US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a combined outflow of $338.4 million on Dec. 24, bringing the total outflows since Dec. 19 to $1.52 billion.

The Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund and the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF also had outflows of $83.2 million and $75 million respectively, while the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF was the only one to see an inflow of $8.5 million.

In contrast, Ether ETFs experienced two consecutive days of inflows leading up to Christmas, with US spot Ether ETFs adding $53.6 million on Dec. 24 after a $130.8 million inflow on Dec. 23.
