HashKey Group, a crypto financial services firm headquartered in Asia, has received approval as a “Virtual Asset Service Provider” (VASP) from the Central Bank of Ireland. With this approval, its European unit, HashKey Europe, can now offer cryptocurrency trading and custodian wallet services in the region.

This approval is a crucial part of HashKey Group’s global expansion strategy and will solidify its presence in key international markets.

The company has been actively obtaining licenses and approvals for cryptocurrency-related activities in various countries, such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda.

In fact, in 2023, HashKey Exchange became one of the first platforms to be licensed under Hong Kong’s new regulatory regime, allowing it to offer crypto trading services to retail users.

In addition to this, the company recently launched HashKey Chain, its Ethereum Layer 2 solution, on the mainnet in December.
