Avraham “Avi” Eisenberg, the individual who was convicted of fraud and market manipulation in connection with the decentralized exchange Mango Markets, will be sentenced on April 10.
In a Jan. 8 court filing, Judge Arun Subramanian of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) agreed to postpone Eisenberg’s sentencing hearing to April 10 at the request of his attorneys.
Initially scheduled for Dec. 12, sentencing was already postponed to Feb. 11 following Eisenberg’s April 2024 conviction.
In a request for postponement filed on January 7, Eisenberg’s legal team cited the complexity of some sentencing issues and the need to review the factual record in the case as reasons for the postponement. The US Attorney’s Office did not oppose the request.
Eisenberg was responsible for hacking Mango Markets in October 2022 and stealing more than $100 million from the platform.
