Coinbase has requested that a lawsuit from BiT Global challenging the delisting of Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) be dismissed, according to a court filing on January 21. Previously, BiT Global attempted to prevent the delisting through a court order, but was denied.

In order to support their decision to delist wBTC from Coinbase’s platform, the exchange raised concerns about the founder of Tron blockchain, Justin Sun, and his alleged fraudulent activities and market manipulation, which posed risks for users.

BiT Global filed a lawsuit in response, arguing that the delisting would harm their operations. However, the court rejected the request and dismissed the lawsuit as unsubstantiated. In their recent court filing, Coinbase is asking for a complete dismissal of BiT Global’s claims.

According to the exchange, their decision to delist wBTC was based on a thorough internal review process.
