Strategy’s CEO: US Should Buy 20% of Bitcoin

Michael Saylor, the executive chairman and founder of Strategy, has been a strong advocate for establishing a substantial Bitcoin reserve in the United States.

He argues that such a move would secure long-term dominance in cyberspace and enhance America’s lending capabilities. During his speech at CPAC in Washington D.C., Saylor urged the US government to acquire 20% of Bitcoin’s supply for a strategic national reserve.

“There is only room for one nation-state to buy 20% of the Bitcoin network,” Saylor stated, adding that he believes “it should be and will be the United States.”

To fulfill Saylor’s vision, US authorities would need to purchase an additional 3.9 million Bitcoin on top of their existing 207,000 BTC, a venture that would cost approximately $392 billion at current prices.
