Grayscale Investments is preparing to introduce an exchange-traded fund (ETF) for Polkadot (DOT). Nasdaq has filed an official request with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list and trade shares of the Grayscale Polkadot Trust.

The SEC now has a 45-day period in which to review the application, with the option to approve, deny, or extend the evaluation timeframe.

Grayscale, which currently offers Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, has recently submitted applications to the SEC to convert its XRP Trust into an ETF and to launch a Cardano ETF.

Under the Trump administration, the SEC has shown increased support for cryptocurrencies, dropping several investigations, including those involving Robinhood and the NFT marketplace OpenSea.
