Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has issued a stablecoin on the NEAR network.
The NEAR Protocol platform supports open source smart contracts. It has a high bandwidth and is designed to create decentralized applications.
The total number of projects in the network exceeded 700 units in July. According to the NEAR Foundation, the NEAR network makes between 300,000 and 400,000 transactions daily.
NEAR Foundation CEO Marieke Flament has said:
“We support initiatives that can increase the stability of the DeFi ecosystem and help us accelerate the mass adoption of Web3.”
Tether also runs on Algorand, Avalanche, Simple Ledger Protocol Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, EOS, Kusama, Liquid Network, Polygon, Tezos, Tron, Solana and Statemine.
