Brett Harrison, president of the US division of crypto derivatives platform FTX, announced his resignation on September 27.
He has said:
“Over the next few months, I will transition my responsibilities and move into a consulting role with the company.”
Recall that he joined FTX US in May 2021, having moved from market maker Citadel Securities (a subsidiary of Citadel hedge fund).
According to him, during this time, the staff of the crypto exchange headquartered in Chicago exceeded 100 people, LedgerX and Embed were bought, and steps were taken to form a policy regarding cryptocurrencies in the United States.
FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has confirmed Harrison’s transition to a consultant position and has announced the move of the US branch office to Miami.
