The Users of Block’s Cash App (formerly known as Square) now can send and receive Bitcoin through the micropayment network Lightning Network.

The head of the company’s Bitcoin Product Development Michael Rihani has demonstrated how simple the process is. According to him, the user needs to go to the application, open the “Money” tab and select Bitcoin. The generated QR code or link will allow them to make a transaction with any wallet that supports LN.

The option is available in the latest version of the app on mobile devices with iOS and Android. Residents of the United States, with the exception of New York State, will be the first to be able to use the LN on the app.

Cash App founder Jack Dorsey said in 2019 that the LN would integrated into the application sooner or later.
