NYSE-listed mining company BIT Mining Limited has unveiled a new generation of devices for mining Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC) – LD4.
The LD4 miner offers increased durability, portability, cost-efficiency, and environmental friendliness, with a hashrate of 5000 MH/s and energy efficiency at 0.71 W/MH – about half the performance of Bitmain L7’s 9500 MH/s at 0.34 W/MH.
It also features improved heat dissipation technology to allow its computing chip to operate at lower temperatures, hardware-level protection, built-in software to deal with known vulnerabilities, an aluminum PCB, and one airflow channel.
The release date and price of the device have yet to be disclosed.
The increase in the price of mining equipment in the first quarter of 2023, up 15-20%, and in some cases up to 30%, is attributed to the increase in the bitcoin exchange rate.
