Nao Kitazawa, who served as the former head of Coinbase Japan, has now become an Investment Partner at the venture capital firm Eight Roads.
He expressed his delight in joining the firm for the purpose of pursuing his passion for fintech and Web3.
Kitazawa worked with Coinbase for almost five years before leaving it in February as the platform stated having to pull out from the Japanese market due to unfavorable conditions.
He remarked:
“I am honored to be part of a firm with a successful track record of supporting some of the most innovative and disruptive companies in the world.”
Founded in 1969 and formerly known as Fidelity Ventures, Eight Roads has invested in a wide range of crypto startups, such as Fireblocks and Kaiko.
