User Creates Music Generator as a Bitcoin NFT

Ratoshi, a pseudonym for an indie game developer, has recently introduced an online music generator as a Bitcoin NFT on the Ordinals protocol.

Utilizing ChatGPT, an AI chatbot from OpenAI, users are able to generate melodies by entering a word or phrase.

The generated tracks have a sound reminiscent of 8-bit consoles, being an addition to Ratoshi’s text-based RPG game Descent Into Darkness.

The implementation of this solution was possible due to recursive labels, which enable users to bypass the 4 MB block space limitation for the size of Bitcoin digital artifacts.

Ordinals protocol has seen about 14.7 million digital artifacts since it launched in January, with text files being the most popular type at 86%, followed by images.

Though music files have a nominal presence, Ratoshi was able to overcome the size limit and add it to the space.
