The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society in Thailand declared on Monday that it will begin legal action against Facebook unless the social media giant takes action against fake crypto-related ads that have reportedly swindled 200,000 people.
The ministry stated that it would be gathering evidence of wrongdoing against the platform and present it to a court at the end of the month.
Evidently, the scammers have been using pictures of celebrities to gain the trust of victims for investments that guaranteed high returns.
