Non-custodial crypto wallet MetaMask has added the ability to ‘cash out’ digital assets with withdrawal to a bank card or PayPal account.
The feature is currently available in the US, UK and some European countries, allowing for withdrawal of dollars, euros and pounds.
Ethereum is the only cryptocurrency that can be cashed out in the MetaMask browser application for the time being.
The company has expressed its goal of expanding the feature to more regions to better serve the global community.
Since its inception in 2023, MetaMask has grown to be the most popular non-custodial wallet with over 22.66 million installations, according to CoinGecko.
In July, MetaMask launched an updated version (v10.33) of the browser extension with the updated interface. However, it must be cautioned that an exploit in April resulted in users losing over $10.5 million.
