In partnership with the Caldera project, who specializes in custom rollups, the developers of Injective, a first level network in the Cosmos ecosystem, have launched a testnet for their L2 solution inEVM.
This new solution is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing decentralized applications (dApps) based on the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization to operate on Injective’s network.
Unlike other EVM solutions such as Aurora based on Near or Neon based on Solana, inEVM is an Injective rollup that is tightly integrated with the main network.
This launch is part of the project’s Electro Chains strategy, which aims to expand the ecosystem of second layer solutions and improve interoperability with different blockchains.
The mainnet launch for inEVM is planned for the fourth quarter.
In June, Injective also integrated with Polygon, while in April they launched the Cascade interoperability solution, which enables Solana developers to build their dApps on the Cosmos ecosystem.
