Circle, a stablecoin issuer, has recently received regulatory approval from the French Financial Markets Authority and has appointed a new Head of French Operations.
Coralie Billmann, who currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Europe and board member for the global business account and payment firm 3S Money, will be taking on the role.
This solidifies Circle’s compliance with European standards, particularly in relation to Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which sets guidelines for crypto asset firms operating within the European Union.
Additionally, Billmann will ensure that Circle is fully prepared for MiCA compliance and lead the licensed operations in France.
Circle Co-founder and CEO Jeremy Allaire expressed excitement for this milestone and believes that Billmann’s expertise and leadership will greatly contribute to their regulatory efforts and connections in France.
