Binance Adds Monero, Zcash and Other Cryptos to List of High-risk Assets

A selection of cryptocurrencies, including Monero and Zcash, have been designated with “monitoring tags” by major crypto exchange Binance.

These tokens are subject to higher volatility and risks, and are closely monitored with regular checks, according to representatives of the company.

Along with XMR and ZEC, Binance also targeted ANT, FIRO, KP3R, MDX, MOB, REEF, VAI, and ZEN. Binance warned users that these tokens may no longer meet their listing criteria.

To trade these tokens, users must complete surveys every 90 days to acknowledge the risks associated with them.

The monitoring tags were applied to FIRO and other privacy-focused coins due to increasing regulatory pressure, such as MiCA, as well as Binance’s agreement with the United States Department of Justice, according to FIRO co-founder Ruben Yap.
