In an announcement on Thursday, Binance revealed that it will no longer support Bitcoin non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its platform. This decision comes less than a year after the tokens were first introduced on Binance’s marketplace.
According to the blog post, the platform will stop supporting airdrops, benefits, and other utilities associated with Bitcoin NFTs after April 10.
This is due to the company’s efforts to simplify its product offerings on the NFT marketplace.
Additionally, trading and deposits for Bitcoin NFTs will end at 6 a.m. UTC on April 18.
Users will no longer be able to purchase, bid for, or list NFTs on the marketplace, and any existing orders will be canceled at that time. Binance also advised users to withdraw their Bitcoin NFTs by May 18, before 12 a.m. UTC.
