Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s chosen candidate for President in the upcoming November election, has made her first public comments regarding the crypto industry at a Wall Street fundraiser.
She outlined her vision of an ‘opportunity economy’ which includes investing in America’s competitiveness and future through partnerships between various stakeholders such as labor, small businesses, innovators, and major companies.
Harris also mentioned promoting innovative technologies like AI and digital assets while ensuring protection for consumers and investors.
The Manhattan fundraiser, which was described as the last opportunity to see Harris speak in New York before the election, was a highly anticipated event with tickets ranging from $500 to $1 million.
Celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Whoopi Goldberg, and Billy Porter were also present at the event.
